Numerical data

The Weather Manager Numerical data settings are used to view and modify weather profile data for the selected design day. The table rows contain weather data for each hour of a user defined design day.

SettingDescription
Month Used to select the design day month for which to display weather numerical data for.
Day Used to select the design day in the selected month for which to display weather numerical data for.
Include 29th February When on, an extra day is added to the Day drop-down list to account for leap years.
Data table For each hour of the selected design day in the weather profile, the following data is held:
  • Hours (column not labeled) — Displays the design day hours as integers starting with hour number one at 12:00 am local time and ending at hour 24.
  • Dry bulb temperature — Displays the temperature of air measured by a thermometer freely exposed to the air but shielded from radiation and moisture for each of the selected weather profile’s design day hours.
  • Dewpoint temperature — Displays the saturation temperature for each hour of the selected weather profile design day.
  • Solar radiation direct — Displays the amount of direct solar irradiances for each hour of the selected weather profile design day. Surrounding buildings and terrain affect this quantity.
  • Solar radiation diffuse — Displays the amount of diffused solar irradiances for each hour of the selected weather profile design day. Fluctuations in the weather profile location’s atmospheric clarity affect this quantity.
  • Solar radiation global — Displays the amount of global solar irradiances for each hour of the selected weather profile design day. Global solar radiation is derived from diffuse and direct solar radiation quantities using the relationship: global = diffuse + direct x cosine (zenith)
  • Wind speed — Displays the meteorological wind speed for each hour of the selected weather profile design day. Meteorological wind speed is used to predict sol-air temperatures and wind pressure coefficients.
  • Wind direction — Displays the wind direction for each hour of the selected weather profile design day. Wind direction is measured clockwise from North.
  • Pressure — Displays the atmospheric pressure for each hour of the selected weather profile design day.
  • Cloud cover — Displays a cloud cover factor for each hour of the selected weather profile design day. Cloud cover is one of the parameters required for load calculations.
